Veteran highlife artiste, Aseibu Amanfi has revealed that he is amazed at the ‘soothing’ voice of contemporary highlife musician, Bisa Kdei.

The "Ka Na Wu" singer speaking to Abrantepa on Radio Univers’ mid-morning show, Brunch2Lunch stated that he likes Bisa Kdei’s Odo Carpenter and would love to meet and befriend him.

“I cannot pass judgement on the current crop of music because even as a musician, you may be surprised that a song of yours you never anticipated can make a hit will end up receiving massive airplay on radio and thumps up from the general public.

Theirs is different from ours; we have our own style. But there is this youngster who sang ‘Odo Carpenter’. Tell him I want to have a chat with him. I like his voice. He has a very nice voice,” he said.

Asked if he intends collaborating with Bisa Kdei on a track, Aseibu Amanfi said, “Who knows? If we start as friends, we can end up recording a track together. However, that is not the intention. I just want to befriend him”.

Some entertainment critics have stated that Bisa Kdei is one of the most underrated musicians in Ghana citing reasons of little or no attention given him.

Bisa Kdei has released countless highlife songs including Metanfo, Madanfo, Saa, I Love You and Atomesu.

He was featured on Obrafour’s Pimpinaa, Efya’s One of Your Own, Sarkodie’s Chingam, Funny Face’s Basabasa among others.

He was adjudged the Songwriter of the Year in the 2014 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards with his Give It To Baba track.
