The Gospel industry in Ghana has been expanding with the entrances of new artistes each day. Several artistes have entered the industry to add their bit to this development in Gospel music. Kwaku Gyasi who has now become a household name in the country is now very popular on the airwaves with his ?Mehyia Agenkwa Bi?.
Kwaku Gyasi was born to Mr. Kwame Kyei and Madam Angelina Appiah on December, 14 1977. He resided in Kumasi in the Ashanti Region, although he is a Fante from Elmina in the Central Region.
He had his primary education at Adventist Preparatory School in Kumasi and continued at Amankwatia Technical School in Kumasi. Kwaku Gyasi is very religious and worships at Asafo Assembly of the Church of Pentecost. He does not hesitate to tell to tell any body how he got into gospel music. This lyrically gifted dude, starting singing while in the technical school in the 90s.
Later on, he came out with an album named ?Onokwafo? in 1994, which was his maiden album, Suusum Kronkron Gye ? 1996 Mehyia Agenkwa Bi his latest, which is on the label of label of John Mensah Sarpong production, is different from the previous ? the creativity and the vocal style. The rhythm is so powerful that it will cause you cause you to pray and give thanks to the Almighty God wherever you are.
Just few months after its release, the Mehyia Agenkwa Bi album is making sales across Europe. Back home in Ghana, the album is gradually making a hit on the local music chart.
