LIC Choir’s ‘Amazing Love’ Launch & Concert On Sat

The Legon Interdenominational Church Choir (LIC Choir) will on Saturday, 22nd October, outdoor its maiden album, ‘Amazing Love’, in grand style. The album launch is set assume a celebration launch format where a concert will underscore the release in a creative fashion. The concert cum launch is scheduled, according to the organizing committee, to be held at the Legon Interdenominational Church, the second church building behind the University of Ghana Nursing School on UG campus from 6pm to 9pm.

Having had the opportunity to listen to most of the songs on the yet-to-be launched album, this writer enquired about the reason behind the album title, ‘Amazing Love’. ‘The love of God as demonstrated by the death of Christ on the cross is the inspiring and refreshing. The lyrics were subjected to the pastoral team for a theological assessment to ensure that we did not produce a merely sensational album with little eternal value. The result has been a unique blend of fantastic music and sound doctrine,’ the album team revealed about the theme.http://www.ameyawdebrah.com/

LIC Choir’s ‘Amazing Love’ album has ten carefully selected tracks spanning contemporary and classical works that features great collaborations with well known musicians and artistes such as Cal Albrecht (of Integrity Music Inc. fame), Bernice Offei, TVO Lamptey, Kofi Dua Anto (KODA), Eugene Zuta and Franklin Eleblu. The notable tracks already making waves include ‘How Amazing’, ‘Aseye’ and ‘Nyame Ye’. LIC Choir was formed in 2004 to take up duties of the church as its music department. As a choir, it has over the years received plaudits for its versatility and creativity when it comes to ministrations. The versatile choir remains pleasantly unpredictable as far as richness of their music and delivery is concerned. Perhaps, this is owed to the makeup of the choir; a hybrid of generational music talents and passionate Christians including lecturers, professors, students and other professionals with an age spread of between 8 and 65.

On October 22, this Saturday at 6pm, LIC Choir will launch its highly anticipated ‘Amazing Love’ album via a celebration concert in the auditorium of LIC (on University of Ghana campus) with Bernice Offei, KODA & Ewurama, TVO Lamptey and Eugene Zuta as guest artistes. Already, the album is a must-have and a concert as its launch should be enough incentive to make you go have a great time.
