MUSIGA Talent Hunt Yielding Results

The Musicians Union of Ghana?s (MUSIGA) talent hunt programme dubbed ?Ghana Idol? aimed at unearthing talents in the youth of the country and helping to shape them up, which started a couple of weeks ago, continues to gather momentum.

Two Saturdays ago, thousands of music lovers defied a heavy downpour at the Western Region Capital of Takoradi and stormed the Prempeh Theatre to watch the 96 young people who took part in the Western regional talent hunt.

By 7:00 pm, the spacious auditorium was filled to the brim with enthusiastic music fans, who converged at the venue to watch proceedings live.

By 9:00pm when the show commenced, some of the fans who came late could not find seats and had to stand to watch the whole show, in their wet clothes.

The 96 contestants jumped into their business for the night and worked like they had never done before, bringing joy and excitement to all the fans, who could not help but dance their hearts out.

At the end of it, two contestants were selected to participant in the final event, which is schedule for a later date in the year.

Some of the fans who spoke to the paper expressed satisfaction about the talent hunt and congratulated MUSIGA for such a bold initiative.

The next talent hunt show is programmed for the Upper West and East next week.
