Ma Julie's 'Okokroko Nyame'

Many are the musicians who begin on a very humble not but today are counted among the nations top artistes. To add to this list is yet another album servant of God, Mrs. Juliana Oti Kusi, 33, who is out with her maiden gospel music album, 'Okokroko Nyame'.

The 8-track soul inspiring album is expected to hit the top ranks in gospel music very soon.

The album contains worship and praise songs which include 'Siberia Yesu', 'Mehia Wadom', 'Ewurade Agye Me', 'Gyina Nkyen', 'Adze Akye' and 'Okokroko Nyame', the title track.

Mrs. Oti Kusi, who is a professional business woman, aims at winning souls for the lord with her music, this she said, was prophesied to her by a pastor some years ago after her return from a business trip to Israel.

The singer, who is also affectionately called Ma Julie by her admirers, is also a chorister at the International Christian Church at Buokrom in Kumasi. She said although she is not a professional musician, the lyrics of her songs came to her through divine revelation.

She also promised that through divine guidance she has more songs in stall for years to come and urged all Ghanaians to patronize her maiden album, which is already enjoying airplay.

Ma Julie also urged all gospel musicians to keep up the good work, but advised musicians in general especially to do away with profane music and focus on singing songs to improve upon the lives of the people and also to the glory of God.
