Mentor II which started three months ago with twelve contestants made up of six boys and six girls selected from Greater Accra Region, Ashanti Region, Eastern Region and Western region has now been reduced to four contestants who will vie for the crown come this Saturday the 20th of January, 2007 at the National Theater
Out of the four finalists Joe, Kofi and Dee have survived all the eviction stages whiles Prince has been affected but came back the following week to fight hard to make it to the finals. His eviction from the house was welcome with pain amidst hue and cry and lo and behold he got the highest vote to come back to the mentor house.
The night which promise to be full of surprises according to the organizers of the show will bring on board all the mentor I contestant on stage to perform together with other season artist like MOBO award winner-Samini, Kwebena Kwebena, OD4, Ras Niga and many others.
Last week show was really a test case for all the contestant as it was their final show before the D- day. I can say that Prince really proved he is the guy to beat come the final show. He did two songs that night and I could not agree more with judge Dominic that the guy is great to watch on stage.
Kofi was accredited the discovery of Mentor II and I believe he really deserves it. He also did two songs and the one that push the audience was the old school track "America". Joe who was not well that night was also in his element with all the songs he did although he didn't appear quite convincing to the judges but he promised his fans more fireworks at the final show. Dee, also did quite well with his first song "I believe I can fly" and his second song was a delight to watch
In an interview with all the contestant, these are what they say;
KOFI," am yet to bring the best from me, and I urge all my fans to continue voting for me come this Saturday am going to surprise all my fans. I love all of them and they should continue to pray for me and also keep the votes coming".
DEE, "I will like to thank all my fans for bringing me this far. They should remember the best always come from the west. I entreat all of them to come in their numbers and cheer me up to win the crown and also they should not forget to keep voting for me".
PRINCE, "I thank all my fans for keeping faith with me and also believing in me. I promise them nothing but the crown".
JOE," all I can say to my fans is that they should keep the votes coming and I will not let them down".
