Ghanaian International gospel music icon, Minister Ike noted with the hit song "Onyame Gya" has revealed his intentions to collaborate with some celebrated secular musicians across Ghana, Nigeria and Uganda.
Minister Ike, who recently won the African Best Gospel Artist category in Canada, mentioned Becca, Guru and Sherifa Gunu from Ghana, Sammy Macauley from Nigeria and Roland Munro from Uganda as the artists he will be collaborating with.
"God created each and everyone for a purpose. God created artists who sing secular music for a purpose.They're not baleful like the way people perceive them to be", Minister Ike said.
Minister Ike, who was speaking from his Canadian base to Dr. Who, host of hot and classic showbiz review on Hot FM, via telephone added:
"What we forget as Christians is, most secular musicians command many followers. We don't have to neglect them. So I want to collaborate with them to win souls for Christ",
Minister Ike, alongside gospel music great, Sonnie Badu are the only Ghanaian gospel artists really putting the name of Ghana on the world map.
His popular "Onyame Gya " song is a big contender for 'Gospel song of the year Award ' at the next VGMA.
