The hiplife princess, Mzbel who stunt unbelievers with her debut album ?Awoso Me? and her dance-to-your feet album ?16 years? will be letting loose her new single out of her music bag soon.
We hardly hear of artistes releasing singles in Ghana. Someone might ask why but I don?t think I have the answer to that right now. But hey, Mzbel has taken a firm step to release her new single which will blow your mind.
I heard it at Hush Hush studios when the star-machine Jay Q was mixing the sound and I nearly removed my clothes. The sound heated me up so much that I could not resist but take it on to the dance floor.
Featuring hiplife stars like Castro and the likes, the song is set to cause mayhem in Ghana and some parts of the world.
Truly indispensable, Mzbel is one of hiplife music?s all-time greats. One of the clutch of Ghanaian teenage female artistes to burst onto the scene in the late 90?s, Mzbel achieves as much publicity for her ?bad behaviour? (as people term it) as she does for her music.
She's ridden a tide of musical credibility throughout the late 90s and early 00s to become the biggest female hiplife artiste of the modern era. Never one to shy from controversy or constant reinvention, she's the true originator of girl power.
Mzbel?s smash hiplife hit-to-be song will thrust her more into the spotlight in 2006 and 2007. In fact, she?ll be recognised in the books of history as one of the most exhilarating artistes.
