President of the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA) Bice Osei Kuffour has tasked members of the Union (MUSIGA) to work together in unity to ensure that the organization remains strong.
The embattled MUSIGA President has retained his seat at the 8th quadrennial congress of the musician union in Koforidua on October 31st.
Obour as he is commonly known secured 88 out of the 133 votes cast to retain his seat, renowned sound-engineer Appietus obtained 18 votes and highlife legend Gyedu Blay Ambuley managed to secure 22 votes out of the total valid votes cast.
Speaking on behalf of Obour, the Ashanti Regional Secretary of the Union, Evans Kwaku Atwere stated that the association would stand strong only if members put their differences behind them and worked together.
Kwaku Atwere told Ashh fm E-Zone that the key to the strength of any association “is working together as a team. MUSIGA is MUSIGA because of people so the minute people decide to work together in unity, the better the organization can stand strong.
Kwaku Atwere said Obour will soon invite all the failed candidates to dialogue on how best they can move MUSIGA forward.
He revealed that Obour will soon appoint Appietus and Ambolley in his new administration.
