“The success of the album will not only be judged on how far it gets but also how much you want to keep it close to you,’ says Papa Shee’e.
One of the easiest ways to set you apart from others is by creating a distinct voice, and in the music industry, that voice is with song. Lyrically, vocally and melodically, Papa Shee’e has a voice that is both recognizable and unforgettable.
The CD has twelve tracks and the lead track “Akokono Ato Pa Gen” tells a story about a worm with wriggling antics known in the Akan language as “Akokono” who was brought before authorities for having insulted the wife of the Chief.” The Worm claimed his innocence and that he was just being the nice guy by helping the Chief’s wife to get up after a fall. His wriggling jigs were noticed as he set off to walk. “Akokono Ato Pa Gen” then became a chorus by everybody gathered in the palace as his antics came to question.
Track ten features an unusual gospel song titled “ Obeye ama wonso” He will do it for you too” which is soul inspiring and would keep fans playing it over and over again. One would wish Papa would release more gospel tunes.
