Rebecca Malope, Castro, Mzbel & Others Won't Be Attending Public Awards Nite

It has been fruitful years for most musicians who seemed to have had a joyride up the charts and having songs littering the airwaves and also good sales of their albums. Thus, Ghana Music Awards was given birth to, to appreciate the works of Ghanaian musicians.

Ghana Music Awards is an event that gathers all the musicians and stakeholders of the music industry on a particular day but it seems some other artistes will not be making it a point to attend.

Mzbel being on of the most sought after female artiste with hits such as '16 Years' and 'Yopoo' , all featuring Castro won't be attending GMA this year.

Akwaaba UK, an event organizing body based in London has been able to lure Mzbel to headline a concert for them at Stratford Rex on March 4th. The event dubbed 'Ghana's 49th Independence Celebration' will also be having workshop seminar on Ghana and its Independence trail on Independence Day, Monday 6th March 2006 featuring Mzbel and Miss Ghana UK 2005, Naana Agyei in Ekubanz Restaurant, London N17.

South African, sensation female gospel singer, Rebecca Malope will puzzlingly absent from the event because her demands was way off the budget of the organizers.

Other artistes that are possibly to be missing in action will be Sidney, K. K. Fosu and Kofi Nti who are up for an independence show in London and Canada.

Is it about the money or what? In a matter of time all shall be revealed on your online informer, Ghana Music.com.
