S K Originale releases debut Dancehall tune, 'Atame'

If Ghana could boast of any Artiste with prowess in any francophone genre, SK Originale first comes to mind before any other search result pop up.

Surprisingly, the co-writer of ‘Aha ye de’ a major hit song in Ghana has joined the most acclaimed music genre in Ghana now, Dancehall with 'Atame.'

The prolific debut Dancehall tune 'Atame', delivered in Ewe is a prove that SK Originale, born Sokpo Kwaku Mawuli indeed is already a mastery on the Dancehall music genre.

Randomly ask any ardent lover of good music which genre of music SK Originale is branded with, and it will be a conundrum for many since the multi-talented Artiste had flirted with all genres throughout these years when his name floated on the music stream.

Asked whether he can now be classified as a Dancehall Artiste, SK Originale replied that, he is full of surprises, and he does not feel limited in music when it comes to any genre so he will continue to do his best regardless the genre.

According to him, “music is a feeling so when it comes to you, you unleash it, and you don’t pay so much attention to the genre but I think I will be doing Dancehall for sometimes” SK Originale revealed.

SK Originale is noted for many hit songs which he was featured on like Castro's 'Fakye' (forgive), Ofori Amponsah's ‘Toffee’, Obour's ‘Atupa Jenje’, Samini's 'I love you' (Yoterm), Ruff N Smooth's 'Azingele', Bosheba's 'Today be your day', VIP's 'One Ye' and Grace Ashy's 'Double Double' among others.

He has also worked with 2 Toff before their separation and Na kay of Nnkasei fame and composed a Black Star cheer song, 'Conquer the world.
