Reggae and dancehall artiste Stonebwoy was at the recently held Ghana Music Awards nominees jam which happened at Cape Coast on Friday, March 23 but did not perform.
Prior to the event, there were a lot of talks as to whether the BHiM nation president would perform or not due to a letter, lawyer of Zylofon Media, Kwame Akuffo & Co. Unlimited wrote to Charterhouse seeking for clarification on how their client’s artiste was booked for the show because they had no idea.
Stonebwoy was taken off the show few hours to the event but his presence at the concert sparked a lot of controversies on the night of the nominees jam.
Head of Communication for Zylofon Media, Samuel Atuobi Baah commenting on Stonebwoy‘s arrival at the event early Monday morning on Zylofon FM and monitored by Zionfelix.net said the ‘Baafira’ hitmaker was not at the show to perform.
According to him, Kelvinboy who happens to be Stonebwoy’s artiste was among the performers on the night so the BHiM Nation president might have traveled to Cape Coast to support him.
Sammy Flex further said Zylofon Media and Charterhouse could not seal a deal for the BET award-winner to mount the nominees' jam stage hence their artiste’s inability to entertain the crowd at the show.
Other top Ghanaian musicians who entertained the crowd at the nominees jam of the 19th edition of Ghana Music Awards included Samini, Kuami Eugene, Kidi, Kofi Kinaata, Teephlow and many others.
