Nii Addo Quaynor, known in showbiz circles as Tinny, a popular Ghanaian hiplife musician has put up a sensational performance to the delight of the children and the queenmothers at Manya Krobo.
At the Odumase secretariat of the Manya Krobo Queen mothers Association, the hiplife artiste boogied and partied and mingled with 300 orphans and vulnerable children bringing smiles to all.
The children, who had heard and seen Tinny only on television and radio mobbed the musician, danced and took pictures with him.
The occasion, which was an end-of-year party for the queenmothers and the orphans and vulnerable children was organised and sponsored by Tinny.
All the 300 children and the number of queenmothers present had lots to eat and drink after the new year cake was shared to them.
It was a merry-making time for the queens and their children as they danced to popular songs by Tinny and interacted freely with him.
The musician later advised the children to take their studies serious and make good use of any opportunity availed to them.
He urged them not to let their predicament demoralise them, but to strive to make it to the highest level possible.
Explaining to showbiz later, Tinny said the party was his contribution towards putting smiles on the faces of the orphans, especially during the festive season.
International football stars Asamoah and Bafour Gyan as well as Gerald Asamoah all contributed towards the programme.
Tinny said he had special interest in children and was hopeful that he would reach out to more children as his contribution to the society which made him who he is.
The Project Coordinator of Manya Krobo Queenmothers Association, Manye Nartekie I, appealed to corporate bodies and individuals in the society to support the association to make the children feel wanted.
