Nii Addo, known in the showbiz circles as Tinny is about to do the impossible. He is launching a new album this August, which will consist of 38 songs.
According to him all preparations have been concluded for the launch, which would have, taken place earlier had it not been for the World Cup, which has engaged the attention of almost everybody in the country.
Tinny said in most of the 38 songs that will make the new album he sang the lyrics all by himself and hinted that there is an infusion of a lot of hip pop in this album.
Tinny has been in the music industry close to five years and has been able to come out with three albums and a number of collaborations with other artistes in the genre of Hip life music.
Before maturing into the artiste he is today, he had been involved in the arts at the junior levels since 1993 when he joined Fun World and was always attending shows though he was preparing for his BECE exam.
This served as good training grounds for him since he came out with his first Album 'Makola Kwakwe' just after he had completed Senior Secondary School and fortunately, his father who had been very supportive of the course he had chosen decided to be his producer.
Answering a question as to why he sings in Ga, he said apart from it being his mother tongue it creates the desired difference since most artistes in the hip life genre sing in Twi.
He said his greatest challenge in the vocation he had chosen is to maintain the standard that his first release set for him.? Since the release won an award I have been mindful of maintaining the standard.
