TV3 is scheduled to be the first local television station to telecast Tinny’s new music video Incomplete which was shot in December last year as part of an MTV-Shell project designed to uplift the African music industry by improving the quality of African music videos.
Tinny is one of just five musicians around the continent who have benefited from the MTV Making the Video with Shell initiative, which enabled Tinny to have a brand new music video shot free of charge by international music video director Rachel Watanabe-Batton.
The video for Incomplete will premiere on TV3 on Saturday 1 March 2008 at 4.30pm.
MTV cameras followed the Ghanaian hip-life sensation in December 2007 as he strove to complete the brand new music video for Incomplete, together with director Rachel Watanabe-Batton and a crew of Ghanaian video directors.
Said Alex Okosi, Senior Vice President and Managing Director, MTV Networks Africa, ‘The video for Incomplete is a great testament to the success of the result of the Making the Video with Shell initiative, which aims to uplift the African music industry by sharing best practice and forging collaborations between local music video talent and top international video directors.
“We’re delighted by the results of the project which has created a compelling, high quality and polished video that does full justice to Tinny’s own vision and artistry.’
‘I believe MTV Base is the biggest platform for me to showcase my talent and to carve a credible image for myself’ said Tinny. “So for them to have produced at their expense, this video with Shell - plus the opportunity to work with a director of international repute as Rachel – is just my dream come true…’
