After ten (10) years of churning out hits after hits, Hiplife trio, 4x4 made up of Sylvanus Dodji Jeoffrey (Captain Planet), Raphael Edem Avornyo (Coded) and Prince Tamakloe (Fresh Prince) are set to release their sixth studio album "4Word".
Last Friday, the trio held an album listening session at the Movenpick Hotel in Accra to start what they have promised to be a vigorous publicity for their newest album, "4Word".
As a group, 4x4 has played around the different rhythms over the past 10 years of doing active music. They got their break into mainstream music with a Jama-inspired song 'Sikilitele', then quickly switched to Highlife with 'Odo Fitaa'. Following the introduction of Crunk, they joined the craze with 'HotGirls.Com', then changed to 'Miss Doctor' which was Azonto-inspired.
Their new album '4Word' is inspired by maturity. With 10 years of doing music, it's expected that maturity sets in, which is a major factor in their sixth album, which has songs including 'Moko Ni', 'Anadwo Y3 D3', 'Casanova', 'Block Money' and recently released 'I Go Marry You'.
Their previous albums are 'Siklitele', 'Contestant Number 1', 'HotGirls.Com', 'World Trade Centre' and 'Waist and Power'.
In celebrating their 10th year in the music business in Ghana, the trio will kick start their tour to some cities in Ghana.
