We are creating holes in our musicians pocket

I now know why our musicians feeds from hand to mouth when they should ripe what they have toiled in months to sow. They should be happy using their God given talent to make ends meet but rather they have they have been denied from it.

Our musicians have emerged in our society for the past few years. Every now and then we see and hear of new ones. But it is a pity most of them have no social status and no profit or benefit to demand between one engagement and the other.

The swift advancement in music play back is ripping them off their hard earned money. And internet and other technologies such as MP3 have made music available to the public and it is causing financial lose to the artist. Piracy has been a problem to producers and musicians for a long time and technologies which has come to emerge in the society is also not helping matters to be solved.

Some scum of people has taken advantage of the internet to exploit our musicians work for their own selfish means. Sometimes I wish the word piracy does not exist in any dictionary. I also wonder why we should pirate peoples work when we could try and do our own thing even if not necessarily music or film to make money for ourselves.

Computer network and other technologies have raised many doubtful questions in the minds of most people that only few people today could provide answer to. We also hear the international federation of musician saying let fight against piracy. But what have they really done about it’ they should not sit and expect manna to fall from heaven. They should take the first step and little by little the problems would be solved.

There is a lot we could offer to our local artist. Let us buy original music works instead of buying pirated ones. They spend a lot of money to bring us their music. Nobody wants to work for a lose everybody wants to gain producers and artist should codify their musical works by putting code number or serial numbers on the disc and cassette through which nobody could copy the song without the knowledge of the owners.

Why do musicians make a deal with their producers and collect their part of the money before the musical work is sold out. Musicians take time and wait until the work is marketed before making any deal with your producer.
