Ghanaian music label WeWrite Records has signed a significant management deal with up-and-coming Afrobeat artiste Arina. The deal was finalized and announced at a press event held at WeWrite Records' office in Accra on Monday, July 1, 2024.
Although specifics such as the contract duration were not disclosed by WeWrite Records, sources at GhanaWeekend indicate that the deal will span less than 10 years.
In his acceptance speech, Arina expressed his enthusiasm for the contract with WeWrite Records, describing it as 'enticing':
"Honestly, such signings are rare in our country. It's challenging to find this level of support that can create more job opportunities for artistes and elevate them to a level that Ghanaians can be proud of. I was impressed by the work behind the scenes at WeWrite Records during my time in the studio and other engagements. I am fully committed to working hard to ensure the success of this deal."
WeWrite Records' CEO, Clement H. Holloway, a prominent Ghanaian businessman, sales consultant, and writer, emphasized the label's commitment to producing high-quality creative works that resonate domestically and internationally:
"We are dedicated to producing impeccably creative works that captivate locally and transcend borders. We firmly believe in achieving commercial success without compromising societal moral standards."
Arina, whose real name is Tetteh Emmanuel Korda, exclusively premiered his upcoming singles during the press announcement.
