Wiyaala is taking time out from her busy international tour schedule to fly back to Accra to perform alongside Reggie n Bollie at this year's Queen’s Birthday celebrations slated for Thursday 31st May.
This annual event, celebrating HRH Queen Elizabeth II 92nd birthday, will take place at the British High Commissioner's Residence in Accra and is always attended by the great and the good amongst Ghanaian society.
This will be Wiyaala’s fourth appearance. It is expected she will sing both the Ghanaian and British National Anthems and then join Reggie n Bollie on stage to perform their new collaboration “Good Vibes” before flying back to the UK the following day to perform at The Long Division Festival in Wakefield.
Reggie N' Bollie rose to fame in 2015 after appearing on the popular U.K. talent contest The X Factor.
The duo were 1st Runners-Up and their instant popularity with viewers and audiences got them signed to Syco Music on 20 January 2016 whom they have since left to form their own independent label, F.R.O.D Music.
They released their first single "New Girl” which charted at number 26 on the UK Singles chart. In December 2017, they released their debut album “Uncommon Favours”, which features amongst others, Jamaican superstar Beenie Man, Wutah and Wiyaala from Ghana.
After winning the Vodafone Icons reality show in 2012, multi-award winning Wiyaala’s career has gone from strength to strength. This year, her second album is expected and she has performed in the UK, Australia and Israel with further dates scheduled for the Holland, Denmark and Germany.
