YFM Seriously speaking, you'll all bear with me after the introduction of this talented hiplife dude that he really isn't a discovery for a moment. He is definitely a discovery of the year.
YFM born in real life as Mark Fosu to Mr. L.F Domsah and Mrs. Monica Abena Bour at Madina had his elementary education at Asuokor RC Primary and then proceeded to Berekum Secondary School. The young rhythmic hiplife soldier started doing music way back in 1994 upon encouragements from friends. Although his parents were not supportive, he went on with it since he thought music was food to the soul and also had love for it.
With the help of superstar Oheneba Kissi, he went on to do good music. In 2000, he came out with his first album but due to poor promotion it wasn't a hit. He thus went back to do business due to financial problems but with the help of God and Hammer of the Last 2, he is about to unleash another hit album which has tracks like 'Obutu So' featuring Okra and 'Befe M'ano'.
The gem of this album is 'Awo De Me' featuring Joe Frazier and Dogo. This album wouldn't be complete without an autobiographical cut. He delivers his testimony on 'Accra is hard' featuring Dr.Alobo, dealing with everything from his life in Accra to his struggle to make it as a rapper and survive in Accra.
He then manifests his flamboyancy as a superstar on 'YFM'. In fact, hiplife can't be anything without YFM. At the very least, they'd be without one of their finest sons. The hiplife enigma will have the world at his feet some time to come after the release of his album which is being recorded at Hush Hush Studios next year.
Meanwhile, he is on a visit to Italy where he will be interviewed on many radio stations. Trust Ghana Music.Com for more information about YFM after his visit to Italy.
