Rapper Yaa Pono has wickedly sent a ‘message’ to his beef partner Charles Nii Armah Mensah known in showbiz as Shatta Wale on his birthday as the self-acclaimed king of dancehall in Ghana marked his birthday.

Speaking in an interview on Accra-based Hitz FM with Dr. Pounds, “The faster than gods” album maker when asked if he had any birthday message to send to Shatta Wale, he replied with a confident, “No message”.

The reply would seem to insinuate that the somewhat scared relationship between the two musicians was far from being patched up.

It would be remembered that the two music giants engaged each other in a series of beef with each artiste recording a song to slur the other.

The “Taking Over” it maker recorded “Say Fi” and Yaa Pono dropped his popular, “Gbee Nabu”.

The two musicians were cheered on by their fans and followers who kept sharing the songs that were recorded.

It was however alleged that some unknown thugs attacked Yaa Pono’s manager at Kasoa when the artiste mounted the stage to perform the “Gbee Nabu” song that had already gone viral. Shatta Wale celebrated his birthday yesterday and received a lot of warm wishes from well-meaning Ghanaians.

Chief among the people who wished the musician well on his birthday were alleged arch-rival and award-winning dancehall artiste, Stonebwoy.

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo also wished the musician well and extended an invitation for him to visit the Flagstaff House.
