A major feature of the 2017 Accra Basketball League (ABL) Men’s Division II has played yet again tonight affecting games from taking place as planned.
A heavy downpour in the wee hours of the Accra night has forced organizers of the league to postpone games scheduled to be played at the Lebanon House Court in Tudu a while ago.
Rains have pummeled the exposed playing surface rendering it impossible to play on without risking a major or career threatening injury to players.
The narrative has played out several times this season with several games moved from original dates to rescheduled ones to clear them off the list.
Earlier this week a pair of games affected by the weather some weeks before were honored at the league center which is in a deplorable state.
Reformers of Prisons beat CYO 74-63 while Navy Warriors beat Spartans 56-38 to win its sixth game on the bounce. Prisons on the other hand stretched its lead over close rival Ghana Police courtesy the win.
Police have featured in fewer games than Prisons largely due to weather induced cancellations of league games.
