DCD Aspirants went into a midweek Accra Basketball League (ABL) Men’s Division II fixture against Navy Warriors with hopes of winning a second straight game in the campaign.

However, that hope was dashed as Warriors beat DCD 81-59 in the final game of the round of games played at the Lebanon House Court in Tudu.

Reformers of Prisons came up tops in the battle of the Reformers clubs in the league by beating Junior Reformers 76-64 in the opening game.

The win keeps Prisons at the summit of the division with second placed Ghana Police three points behind with 16 points.

Aspirants on the other hand did not get to fill the win column like it did in the past round following a 78-73 win over Tudu Galaxy as the team lost to the streaking Warriors side.

Navy went into the tie with five wins in a row and made it six despite a strong third quarter performance that had Aspirants close to deficit to seven 47-54 from a 21 point deficit (29-52).
