Majeti Fetri appeals for support for Weightlifting

Coach of the National Weightlifting Team, Majeti Fetri has launched an appeal to all Ghanaians who wish the country to collect more medal in his discipline at international competition to support them in kind and cash.

Speaking to yours truly at their newly created office / gym / traing center at the Accra Sports Stadium, he noted that the participants in Weight lifting require a lot of food to give them energy and called on companies to come to their aid.

He said Ghana has a lot of potential in every sporting discipline and Weightlifting is not an exception, adding that they have started the new training center which needs to be put in shape as soon as possible and attract others to come on board.

Charles Osei Asibey, the newly appointed Communications Director of the Ghana Weight lifting Association told yours truly they are working very hard to let many people understand the sport and hope to organize two competitions in Accra and Kumasi after the Unity Games to draw more interest for the sport.

He observed that there are many people who can lift heavy weights in Ghana and want them to come on board to strengthen the Association and also offer them new jobs that would give them traveling opportunities and the chance ti win medals and cash for themselves and the nation.
