All set for Bukom Banku-Ayitey Powers bout on April 26

The much craved boxing showpiece between Braimah Kamoko and Ayitey Powers is set to be staged by Box Office Sports Promotions with a date of April 26 already set following Kamoko’s split from his hitherto promoters and managers, Sportsinghana.com can exclusively reveal.

Kamoko, famously called Bukom Banku and long time rival, Powers have been at each other’s throat over the past eight or so months for a mega fight which never came on.

But after Banku broke ties with Golden Mike Promotions earlier this week, Box Office Sports Promotions headed by Alex Ntiamoah-Boakye wasted no time in offering both boxers a deal to stage what is expected to be one of the most patronized boxing encounters in the history of this country.

Though no contracts have been signed yet not to talk about the Ghana Boxing Authority (GBA) sanctioning the fight itself between Banku who supposedly fights at Cruiserweight these days and Powers who has fought at Super Middleweight all his career, a date of April 26 at the Accra Sports Stadium has already been proposed.
