Ayitey Powers draw fans to his training

Super Middleweight boxer Ayitey Powers who is moving up in weight to challenge World Boxing Organisation (WBO) Africa Cruiser weight Champion Bukom Banku also known as Braima Kamoko has stepped up his training at the Fitness Factory in the York 250 gym at Mamprobi, Banku Junction in Accra.

The training in the open air gym has attracted all kinds of people including school kids and market women who want to see the hair style of Powers.

According to Powers, he is going to put up the best boxing show ever in his career for Ghanaians to see that he is now changed and full of power.

He predicted a sixth round knock out win over Bukom Banku after wearing him down in the first five rounds.

“I am coming into this big fight with a strategy and I am going to win the favour of the fans, because I will be very attractive on the night of April 18, 2014 and box clean. I am not going to clinch, I will punch accurately and prove to the fans that I know the art of self defence better than Banku” he said.

Ayitey Powers who have an unimpressive record of 19 wins in his 42 fights, losing 23, most of whom he claimed to have been robbed said he is going to outclass Banku with new skills that he has brought from Australia.

Meanwhile, Banku, undefeated in 26 fights with 20 KOs has called off the bluffs of Powers and promised to teach him some few lessons before knocking him out in round seven.

The big fight dubbed Judgement Day being promoted by Box Office Sports Management has turned political with Banku inviting the President of Ghana to the show and most New Patroitic Party members and supporters routing for Ayitey Powers.

The bout became religious and spiritual after Ayitey Powers claimed he had gone to see Prophet T.B. Joshua of the Synagogue Church in Nigeria and he had been delivered from all bad and negative spirits and influences.

Banku said he will beat both Powers and his pastor to also prove that he has a force behind him.

Box Office Promotions leader Alex Ntiamoah said the fight at the Accra Sports Stadium will be big and security would be very tight.

He hinted that 10,000 tickets are going to be printed for the fans and the boxing night would be full of entertainment with top musicians mounting the ring to keep fans awake.
