The headline bout for the 4th edition of the Azumah Nelson Fight Night was short-lived as Ghana’s Wahab Oluwaseun gave his United Kingdom opponent a third round knockout in the Super featherweight division.
Oluwaseun, right from the onset took the game to John Hakes dropping some point earning punches on his opponent who had no defensive or attacking answers to the boxing questions being asked.
Wahab’s incessant and ferocious attacks drew lots of cheers and applause from both the indigenous Ghanaian supporters and some members of the UK community who had come to support their boxers.
A heavy punch from Oluwaseun in the third round floored Hakes who could not recover after the 10seconds count by the referee.
With an impressive record of 15-0-0 in the super-featherweight division, Oluwaseun has established himself as one of Ghana's hottest boxing prospects and one that could win Ghana title in the near future.
In another Ghana vs UK bout, Ghana’s Raphael King defeated his UK opponent, Anthony Ayinde to ensure that none of the UK boxers left the shores of Ghana with a victory.
