Legendary boxer Azumah Nelson, known affectionately as "The Professor" for his strategic prowess in the ring, is set to launch an inspiring new initiative: the Zoom Zoom Clinics.

This ambitious program, sponsored by GCB Bank, will roll out in four regions, aiming to combine mentorship, boxing training, and community engagement to uplift and empower young people.

A Champion's Vision for Change

Azumah Nelson’s storied career as a world champion boxer has made him a household name, not only in Ghana but globally. Now, he is channeling his passion and experience into a program that seeks to provide more than just physical training. The Zoom Zoom Clinics are designed to impart valuable life skills, promote health and fitness, and build resilience and discipline among youth.

"Boxing taught me discipline, perseverance, and the importance of hard work," said Nelson. "With the Zoom Zoom Clinics, I want to pass on these lessons to the next generation, helping them to achieve their full potential both inside and outside the ring and classroom."

The Zoom Zoom Clinics will be hosted in four regions, each session meticulously planned to include a mentorship session where Azumah Nelson shares his life journey, offering motivational talks, and providing guidance on overcoming challenges and setting ambitious goals. There will also be a boxing training session where participants will receive basic boxing instruction, focusing on techniques, fitness, and sportsmanship.

The maiden Zoom Zoom Clinics will take place in the Greater Accra, Northern, Ashanti, and Western regions in July and August 2024. The success of the Zoom Zoom Clinics is built on strong partnerships with the Ghana Education Service (GES), Ghana Boxing Federation, Boxing Academies, and community organizations. These partnerships ensure that the program reaches a wide audience and integrates seamlessly into the local community fabric.

Azumah Nelson's Zoom Zoom Clinics are set to make a significant impact across selected regions, combining the power of sport with the wisdom of a champion to inspire and uplift the next generation.
