Banku and Powers have a date on Dec 26

Braimah Kamoko popularly known as (Bukom Banku) and Michael Ayittey (Powers) are set to engage in another fierce fight at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium, on December 26.

The bout promoted by Livewire Events and Landmark Promotions with sponsorship from Joy Dadi Bitters and supported by Black Avenue Sports will see the two boxers battle it out in a Cruiserweight contest to win the Range Rover.

In a brief ceremony at the Accra Sports Stadium, Banku failed to show up but his rival Powers cited the former engaged him in a street fight but stated that he will discipline his rival in the ring.

Powers has a record of 21 wins (17 KOs), 24 losses, but he is yet to win a major title whilst his opponent Bukom Banku, is undefeated in 26 bouts with 20 knockouts.

Powers lost to Banku in a similar bout last year but has vowed to prepare adequately for the bout to make amends.

He said ‘I have corrected my mistakes and this time around, I’m stopping Banku. I’m not going to repeat that mistake. I’m going for the car and it’s my target I will punish him in the ring and disgrace him. I have revenge on my mind’’.

Mr. Anthony Kermah of Landmark Promotions told the GNA Sports ‘‘we are looking at 30,000 supporters to troop to the stadium. Kumasi is the second capital in Ghana and that was why we chose the region".

The bout will also feature UK based boxer Isaac Dogboe who will face-off with George Krampah of Bronx Gym in an Africa Featherweight contest and other supporting bouts for the night.

Notable artists contracted to perform includes, Sarkodie, Shatta Wale, D Black, Pop skinny, Efya and others.
