British High Commissioner to Ghana, Iain Walker, has heaped praises to new WBO World super bantamweight champion Isaac Dogboe.
Dogboe, who holds dual citizenship (Ghana and UK), destroyed the then champion Jessie Magdaleno to win the aforementioned belt three weeks ago.
In the said fight, Dogboe went down for the first time in his pro career in round one.
The 23 year-old wasn’t despaired with that poor start as he dropped Magdaleno three times before the fight was waved off in round 11.
After winning the belt, the diminutive hard puncher thus becomes the youngest world champion to come from Ghana.
The British High Commissioner in reacting to Dogboe’s triumph took to his Twitter page to hail the new champ.
I know who I'm backing, and its not the big fella. Great to see World Champ @IsaacDogboe . This guy is an inspiration : talented, dedicated, humble. And a legend. pic.twitter.com/o170PfBkp6
