Bukom Banku rated 2nd by IBF

… As Ghanaian boxers gets improved rating by the International Boxing Federation

Seven Ghanaian hard working pugilists have been rated very high in the top ten rankings of the latest placings of the International Boxing Federation (IBF).

Popular Ghanaian unbeated champion of Africa, Brahimah Komako aka Bukom Banku is rated at # 2 in the Cruiserweight class, where South Africa’s Thabiso Mchunu is rated at #1 in the weight division with the title vacant, there is the possibility of a clash between the two top contenders.

According to the IBF Africa Report, Doudou Ngumbu of Congo is rated at # 9 in the Light Heavyweight while Joshua Okine of Ghana headlined at # 10 in the Middleweight division. The champion is Anatoliy Dudchenko from the United States.

Fredrick Lawson of Ghana is # 3 while his country’s mate Patrick Allotey keeps # 14 in the same, The champion is Dan Ion from Romania. Albert Mensah of Ghana is rated at # 2 while the title is vacant.

Richard Commey from Ghana is rated at # 1 in the Lightweight division while his country’s mate Maxwell Awuku is rated at # 9. The champion is Kevin Mitchell from the United Kingdom.

Malcolm Klassen from South Africa is rated at # 9 in the Jr. Lightweight division and the title is vacant. “King” Gottlieb Ndokosho from Namibia is rated at # 9 in the featherweight division and the title is vacant.

Immanuel Naidjala fom Namibia is rated at # 3 in the bantamweight division while John Amuzu from Ghana is rated at # 5 respectively. The title is vacant.

The Princess of Africa boxing and IBF Intercontinental Female Featherweight champion, Helen “Iron Lady” Joseph from Nigeria is the only Africa # 1 contender in the IBF world female ratings of January 2013.

Helen Joseph who is billed to fight the IBF Female Featherweight world champion Dahianna Santana from the Dominican Republic, is the only Africa boxer in the IBF female world ratings.

Information reaching yours truly state that Dahianna Santana has pulled out from the event and has landed a heavy blow on the organisers of the bout at the Accra Sports Stadium on April 25 2014.
