Bukom Tsatsu Defends Title March 4

The Azumah Nelson Sports Complex will be the venue for another evening of pure pugilistic action dubbed?The Independence Rumble? on March 4 by courtesy of Obric Sala Promotions and Ambition Promotions.

On the bill will be three title bouts and four non-title bouts.London-based Nigerian,Fatal Onikeke,will be up against Ghana?s Joshua Okine, a.k.a Bukom Tsatsu, in a Commonwealth Welterweight championship.

Ishmael Tetteh,a.k.a Roy Jones Jnr of the Panix Boxing Gym will engage Joseph Kwadjo of the Believers Gym in an eight-round welterweight contest.In his last fight Tetteh treated boxing fans to a vintage performance as he outclassed Thomas Awinbono to win by a unanimous decision.

The vacant National and West African Bantamweight title is up for grabs as Hebert?Sensational? Quartey of the Akotoku Academy clashes with Galley Cudjoe, a.k.a Tico Tico, of the Black Panther Gym.

After loosing his last fight Thomas ?Awin? Awinbono of the Attoh Quarshie Gym,is hungry to redeem his image as he comes up against Gabriel ?Saga Bomber? Adoku of the Sagacious Gym in an eight-round welterweight contest.

One of the major bouts of the evening will be the National and West Africa Lightweight Championship between former National Champion,Ben Ankrah,a.k.a Congo Soldier and West African Champion,Bilal Mohammed, a.k.a Take Punch.This fight promises to be a cracker.

Former Black Bombers Captain, Lartei Lartey of the Bukom Gym, will sort things out with Ezekiel?Dynamite? Alamu of the Wisdom Gym in a six round Super lightweight contest.

Many fans who will troop to the Azumah Nelson Sports Complex will certainly look forward to the ABU Light Heavyweight elimination bout between the biggest braggart in Ghana boxing,Brimah Kamoko, a.k.a Bukom Banku, and former National and West African Light Heavyweight champion, Sugar Ray Akwei Jnr, a.k.a Pepper Pepper.

After years of hibernation, Akwei says he will launch a comeback into the ring by silencing Kamoko,who,he claims,has fought mediocre boxers in the past.The question to ask is whether the veteran boxer has what it takes to silence the mean and hard-punching Kamoko.The answers will be provided on the night of March 4.
