Chorkor Banku stops Cudjoe in round 4

Raymond Commey AKA Chorkor Banku celebrated another victory in the ring last night after earning a knockout victory over compatriot, Joe Cudjoe in the headline bout of the Homowo boxing extravaganza in the Ghanaian capital organised by Box Office Sports Promotions and sanctioned by the Ghana Boxing Authority.

Commey, who holds the WBA Pan Africa Super Bantamweight championship and is rated number 15 in the world by the WBA, dominated Cudjoe all fight long so much the referee had no choice than to stop the fight in round 4 of the scheduled 10.

"I am delighted to win again, it was a very tough fight but I trained hard, so I was ready for everything. I am ready for the best Super Bantamweights in the world now. Bring on anybody, I will fight them," the world title chasing Commey told Allsports.com.gh exclusively after the fight.

Immediate past WBA Pan-Africa Welterweight champion, Richmond Djarbeng made a winning return to the ring since losing his title in New Zealand in June, following a technical knockout victory in round 4 against Daniel Adjato.whilst highly rated, Emmanuel Danso alias Kwahu Tyson also stopped Cudjoe Darah in round 3 of their Light Heavyweight contest.

Other winners at the City Engineers yard were Isaac Sackey who stopped Michael Tetteh in round 2 of their Super Bantamweight contest, Robert Quaye claimed a round 3 TKO over Armah Tetteh in a Super Lightweight clash with Patrick Okine also on the end of TKO round 3 victory over Francis Appalo in a Lightweight contest scheduled for 8 rounds.

In other fights, Razak Nettey beat Saidu Amadu via TKO round 3 in a Featherweight contest, Wahab Oluwaseum won by TKO in round 3 against Samuel Omari in a Super Featherweight contest and Ali Shaibu won by TKO in round 2 against Steve Emu.

Concluding the packed-fight night which saw 11 fights in total was Sumaila Badu who defeated Daniel Armah courtesy a round TKO in a Bantamweight clash and Abdul Aziz Quartey who beat Kofi Asamoah via TKO round 2 of their Super Lightweight bout.
