hana’s welterweight contender, Joshua Clottey has accused coach of Manny Pacquio of being “disrespectful.”
Freddy Roach had predicted a straight knockout against the Ghanaian, but Clottey told Sky Sports the coach’s assertion only smacks of disrespect.
The Ghanaian is yet to be knocked out, having lost three out of his 38 professional fights and believes Saturday’s bout against the world’s best pound-for-pound fighter will not be his first.
Clottey has 35 wins, 20 of which came by way of knockout.
His last bout was against Miguel Cotto last year, one he lost under controversial circumstances.
He sees his match-up with Manny Pacquio as a God sent opportunity and would do his best to make it count.
Quite cautious in his predictions, Clottey said only time and the ring will determine if Pacquio will be able to live by his words.
The two pugilists will cross swords at the 13 Cowboy Stadium in US on Saturday, 13th March, 2010.
