Ghanaian Boxer fights Italian De Martin

Belgium-born Ghanaian boxer, Sugar Ray Jackson Osei-Bonsu, mounts the ring this Saturday, 9th June to challenge former Italian WBC Welter Weight Champion, Critian De Martin at the Sports Palace in Antweepen, Belgium.

The bout which is expected to travel for twelve rounds will see the Ghanaian, who has a fight record of twenty-four wins with only one defeat, seeking to defend his WBC Welter Weight belt in front of the expected 2,000 boxing fans especially the Ghanaian community who have promised a massive attendance. According to Osei-Bonus’s manager who spoke on phone from his Belgium based, every member of his team are in high spirits ahead of Saturday’s bout and promised that the bout will not travel beyond the eight round as the prepare to had their opponent to their twenty-one list of knock-out victims. On his part, Mr. Kwame Osei-Bonsu, father of the Ghanaian boxer who hails from Bansu Abari, in the Ashanti Region, called on Ghanaians to remember them in prayers as the seek to raised high the Ghanaian boxing flag this Saturday in far away Belgium.

It will be recalled that, three of Ghana’s boxer, Ben Wonder Tackie, Ayitey Powers and Alex Ali Baba mounted the ring in Europe last weekfor their respective bouts out of which Alex Ali Baba among the three became the only boxer to taste victory.
