I am ready for the World - "Bukom Banku"

Accra, Jan. 31, GNA - Braimah Kamoko, popularly known as "Bukom Banku", has declared that he is ready to take the world by storm to become a world champion in the near future.

According to the boxer, he is looking for the opportunity to climb up further in his career and will aim to take on other high profile boxers in the Light Heavyweight division.

Bukom Banku made these remarks after knocking out Uruguayan opponent Jorge Rodriguez Olivera in 45 seconds into round four to win World Boxing Organisation (WBO) (Africa) Light Heavyweight Championship on Saturday.

Prior to the knockout, the Uruguayan was made to visit the canvas in round one and three having been pursued incessantly by Bukom Banku from the word go in their not-too-impressive bout.

Olivera's corner men conceded the defeat in good faith and attributed= it to a rib injury their boxer sustained prior to the fight.
