WBA Inter-Continental titlist Emmanuel ‘Game Boy’ Tagoe has promised fireworks ahead of his clash with his Tanzanian opponent Allan Kamote, this Friday at the Accra Stadium.
Put together by Baby Jet Promotions and headlined, ‘Night of Warriors’, it is a mandatory title defense to the WBA Inter-Continental title Tagoe won against Joebert Delos Reyes in March this year.
It is the main bout (WBA Inter-Continental Lightweight Championship) of a collection of bouts that is expected to roll back memories of great fights.
Game Boy told DAILY GUIDE SPORTS ahead of the bout that “people say I talk too much, but the truth is always one – I have invested by way of training, hence my confidence. It is like preparing for an exam; when you cover all the areas you have been taught, you walk to the exam hall confident.
“A win over my opponent will draw me closer to my World title dream, and that is why I am attaching all seriousness to the bout. Kamote won’t last, I can assure you.”
A high-ranking official of Baby Jet Promotions, Sammy Anim Addo, pointed out: “You know Baby Jet Promotions have always delivered a first class event. We joined the boxing fraternity a few years ago, but you will bear with me that the evidence is clearly on the wall.
“It’s been good so far and Friday’s event is likely to follow same format or even a higher version of what we have witnessed so far.”
The event is being sponsored by Mama Vits, Asamoah Gyan Foundation, with support from the Ghana Boxing Authority.
