Ace Power Promotions signee, Samuel Martei Laryea is set for a bout with Tanzanian slugger Iddi Kayumba and has vowed to make a statement.
"I know he's experienced, but at this moment, nothing can stop me. Kayumba will fall like a log," Laryea confidently declared.
Samuel Laryea is currently in training camp ahead of the clash dubbed "Fists Of Carnage" at the Bukom Boxing Arena on June 15.
Laryea (5-1-1, 5KOs) is riding on momentum following an impressive ninth-round stoppage win over the rugged Vandorf Okrah on March 30.
Kayumba (15-6-2) has faced opponents like Alfred Lamptey and former world champion Zolani Tete.
A battle of grit, guts, and aggression can be expected, and the more prepared fighter will surely prevail.
Head Trainer of the Accra Boxing Club, George Smart Abbey, who trains Martei Laryea, believes the right strategies will be employed to secure the win.
"We won't predict a knockout," he said, "but victory is certain."
The event, organized by ACE Power Boxing Promotions, Box Office Boxing Promotions, Twinstars Boxing Promotions, and Aborigines Boxing Promotions, will also feature Michael Ansah, aka One Bullet, in a grudge match against Derrick Quaye.
Holy Dorgbetor will take on Hamadi Furahisha for the IBF Africa Featherweight championship, with Samuel Quaye defending his National Title against Daniel Quaye, among other exciting bouts.
