Mortein Boxing League starts in May

Accra, March 26, GNA - The 2004 Mortein Boxing League has been fixed for May 1, by the Ghana Boxing Authority (GBA).

Mr Moses Foh-Amoaning, Acting Chairman of the GBA disclosed this to the GNA Sports in an interview in Accra on Friday.

He said all boxing gyms in the country are expected to register their boxers in all the eight categories from the flyweight to the super heavyweight divisions.

Mr Foh-Amoaning said the registration has been fixed for Monday, March 29, and cautioned that gyms that would not be able to register boxers in all the categories would be disqualified.

The GBA Acting Chairman said amateur boxers would be roped into the league to engage in exhibition bouts as a way of involving them in the development process.
