Namibian WBO middleweight boxer Walter Kautondokwa proved too strong for his Ghanaian counterpart Obodai Sai as the 8th ranked boxer floored the 14th placed Ghanaian boxer in round 5 of their much talked about WBO Middleweight World Title Eliminator bout that happened at the Bukom Boxing Arena.

The bout which was dubbed “Xplosiv Fight” and put together by Lion Boxing Promotions began on an impressive note for the Ghanaian boxer who displayed some incredible boxing skills in the first two rounds. Sai dominated the first rounds much to the happiness of the teeming boxing fans which included former Sports Minister, Nii Lante Vanderpuije and Black Stars captain Asamoah Gyan.

At the peak of the bout the tall Namibian came in strongly in the third round, landing some point earning blows on the face of the “Miracle Worker” who obviously could not conjure any miracle to save himself from the hard-punching Namibian boxer.

The bout that many expected to last a bit long however, was cut short after Kautondokwa landed a heavy punch on the face of Obodai Sai who could not return to a state of normalcy forcing the referee to bring the bout to a close.

Kautondokwa was thus declared the winner by technical knockout in round 5 and by virtue of this victory has defended his WBO Africa middleweight belt.

He also added the IBF Africa middleweight title to his collections making an impressive record of 15 undefeated fights with 14 being knockouts.
