Reigning Commonwealth Lightweight title holder, Richard Oblitey Commey, is bent on winning the IBF title as he faces a yet-to-be-named opponent in an IBF final eliminator bout in January 2016.

Commey won all his last four bouts in 2015 and is pushing hard to rule the lightweight Division with a world title bout.

The 28-year-old defeated Kakhabir Avetisian in October in Germany, a fight which propelled him on the IBF ratings and close to a World title.

The medal hopeful who fights under Streetwise Promotions is confident of breaking Ghana’s title drought, his manager Michael Amoo Bediako, told Starr Sports.

“Richard has a possible bout in Germany in January and we believe in him and before that he will be holding an exhibition bout to toughen him ahead of the title bout,” he said.
