Hard-hitting super bantamweight contender Samuel Martei Laryea crushed Tanzania's Iddi Kayumba in four of the scheduled eight-round contest on Saturday night.
In front of a sea of supporters at the Bukom Boxing Arena on the "Fists Of Carnage" bill, Laryea, currently in top form, displayed blistering hand speed and concussive power.
Kayumba appeared stunned in the opening round as Laryea went to work with accurate shots to the head and body of his opponent.
Laryea dropped Kayumba multiple times as the rounds progressed.
With the victory, Laryea improves his record to 6-1-1.
An elated Laryea expressed gratitude to his trainer, George Smart Abbey of the Accra Boxing Club, and manager Dr. Adae Opoku Amoako of ACE Power Boxing Management And Promotions. He revealed that his next bout is likely to be a championship fight.
