Tagoe signs deal with Baby Jet Promotions

Accra, Jan. 16, GNA – Emmanuel “Game Boy” Tagoe, World Boxing Association (WBA) International Lightweight champion has signed a three year managerial contract with new boxing promotion syndicate, Baby Jet Promotions.

The three year renewable contract, according to Baby Jet Promotions will see to the development of a comprehensive programme aimed at making the 24 year old boxer a world beater within the next three years.

Unveiling the package at a press conference in Accra, Sammy Anim Addo, Chief Executive of Baby Jet Promotions, said they have a strategic plan that will make the talented boxer a world champion in the shortest possible time.

He said, his outfit has settled all financial issues between the boxer and his previous management, hence there will not be any future legal tussle over the boxer.

Anim Addo, said plans are in place to feature Tagoe in the world title to be organized by Fresh King Entertainments in February.

He said though they are yet to get an opponent for the boxer, efforts are being made to get him a formidable opponent to bring the best out of Tagoe.

The Chief Executive said, Tagoe is expected to travel to United States of America (USA) to fight a yet to be named opponent in a World Boxing Organization (WBO) International Lightweight bout after which he will mount the ring again to defend his WBA International Light weight title in July.

“We have a comprehensive program lined up to keep the boxer in good shape in our quest to make him a world beater. He has proved beyond doubt that he has the potential to rise to the top, hence our desire to push him till he is crowned a World champion one day”. He stated. Tagoe expressed profound gratitude to Baby Jet Promotions for their gesture adding that he will work hard to justify the confidence reposed in him. Tagoe, who will benefit from an undisclosed figure, though Baby Jet Promotions described it as attractive was also given a Toyota Venza, worth $45,000. In addition, Mama Vit’s Investments sole distributors of Vit’s Instant Noodles also donated Vit’s Noodles and a branded Vit’s Polo shirt to Tagoe.
