ARTHUR-DON International Promotions is set to unleash the eighth edition of the Star-Don Sports Series at the Globe Cinema next Saturday, April 12.
The night’s programme, dubbed ‘The night of future WBC champions’, will feature seven thrilling bouts.
Top of the bill will see Ghana’s Alex Ali Baba fighting Ibrahim ‘Okebadan’ Adewale of Nigeria in an international bantamweight contest.
Promising Kpakpo “Lighting” Allotey will have a shot at the ABU super featherweight title being held by Uganda’s Mike Kizza while Ghana’s ABU super midleweight titlist, Charles Adamu, engages Poudjgbo Dosseh of Togo in another international contest.
Also on the bill to add to the thrills are the two exciting performers from Benin — Victor Kpodonou and Ange Adjaho.
Kpodonou defends his ABC super lightweight crown against ABU champion, Davis Lusimbo of Uganda.
Angee, who is remembered for his impressive victory over Samuel Danso somewhere last year, is scheduled to fight Nigeria’s Sunday Okule without his ABC super featherweight title on the line.
Lartequaye Hammond, who has not fought since his dramatic failure to wrest the Commonwealth lightweight title last year, will make a maiden appearance on the local scene when he contends with Nigeria Ajamion Radji Tayson in an international super featherweight fray.
An all-Ghanaian affair involving Ali “Cabucoso” Alabi (the Pride of Central Region) and Ibrahim Ampiah in the super featherweight division is also on line in the rich and exciting package.
