From the 29th to the 31st of October this year the core of the Ghanaian business community with their sub-regional counterparts will converge in Accra for Ghana's first business enhancement exhibition and conference dubbed "The West African Economic Forum and Opportunities West Africa Expo".
The event will be fantastic opportunity for businesses and their executives to share ideas; gain from the experience of other successful businesses and business executives; showcase their services, expertise and products to an audience made up of the core of the Ghanaian business community as well as governmental and diplomatic delegations; and establish a network of useful contacts that will help propel their organisation into the new Ghanaian/West African economic beam, according to a release from Expo Link, the organisers.
Over ten sub-regional countries are expected to showcase and discuss business opportunities, and environment in their various countries.
Topics to be addressed include: identifying and facilitating the growth of untapped business opportunities within Ghana and the sub-region; encouraging open dialogue between government and the business community; assessing the effect of foreign currencies and the proposed sub-regional currency on business; regional integration and its benefit to business; finance and insurance; IT and telecommunications; and agriculture and industry.
This business enhancement event is held under the auspices of the Ministry of Economic Planning and Regional Cooperation and the Ministry of Trade and Industry and organised by EXPO LINK.
