The Director-General of Ghana Broadcasting Corporation, Professor Amin Alhassan, has been adjudged the Electronic Media Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Year.

He received a plaque and a citation for his innovation, leadership vision, and outstanding practices that set him apart from the rest of the media institutions at the Ghana CEO of the Year 2024 Awards.

Organizers announced him as the top CEO in the category of Electronics and Innovation based on the dynamic transformational leadership he has demonstrated towards the transformation of media works in Ghana.

Professor Amin Alhassan, according to the organisers, “is a visionary leader revolutionizing GBC With a passion for democratizing access to quality Broadcasting in Ghana." He has emerged as a dynamic transformational thought leader, driving innovation and through his work, Professor Amin Alhassan is redefining the future and quality of media broadcasting, ensuring that his outfit has access to quality media operations, regardless of their background or location.

His legacy will be a testament to the power of visionary leadership, transforming GBC through the transformative force of current Media broadcasting procedures.

Last year, the GBC boss was also acknowledged to have produced clear and compelling value towards the development of the media industry and the attainment of the Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 16, which is related to access to information and protection of journalists’ safety.
