The Chief Executive Officer of Caveman Watches and Timepiece GH, Anthony Dzemefe has been adjudged the Technology and Innovation Man of the Year at this year’s Forty Under Forty Awards held Friday night, at the Kempinski Gold Coast Hotel.

Mr Dzemefe started selling watches in 2015 under his Timepiece Gh company name. After realising none of the watches he was selling were manufactured in Africa, he decided to start his own brand.

According to the young CEO, the plan to deal in watches was birthed after he made some good profit from selling a watch he bought for just GHC50.

After selling watches at car parks and malls for some time, Mr Dzemefe was able to grow his business, enabling him to open his first shop.

He enrolled in a Swiss online watchmaking course after which he started producing handmade leather straps, repairing watches and also making wall clocks from discarded wood.

Production for his Caveman Watches commenced in 2017 with sales officially starting in 2018.

Caveman Watches are designed by Mr Dzemefe, assembled in Switzerland and fitted with Ghanaian handmade leather straps.

He was awarded as the Emerging Youth Innovator at the 2018 Ghana Youth Event Awards.
