?40b Restaurant, Factory for Tema

A ?40 billion ultra-modern Meat Processing Factory and a Fast Food restaurant will be jointly opened at Tema this Friday.

The Southern Fried Chicken Restaurant and the Premier Meat Products Limited are situated on the same compound at the end of Tema Motorway Roundabout.

Distinguished members invited to the function are Hon. Dr. Konadu Apraku, Minister of Trade and Industry, His Excellency Dr. Harold Loeschner, German Ambassador to Ghana ad Mrs. Margaret Joyce Villars, President of the Association of Ghana Industries (AGI).

In a press briefing, Dr. Paul Kofi Fynn, Executive Director of the two companies, said the Southern Fried Chicken is an international franchise system and it is also the first Fast Food with a franchise system in Ghana.

The Southern Fried Chicken was first opened in Ghana in 1998 at Osu by an American, Manmoham Singh Sethi, who later sold the outfit in 1999.

"In March 2000 the second branch of the restaurant was opened in Tema Community One, near the Fire Service offices, with a capacity of 800 guests. Due to high patronage, a third branch will be opened at the end of Tema Motorway Roundabout this Friday," said Dr. Fynn.

Fynn said the ultra modern Meat Factory will feed the restaurant with meat products and also supply ham, sausage, bacon, pepperoni, salami and beef sausage to various restaurants, airlines, hotels, hospitals, educational institutions and the general public.

The Executive Director expressed optimism that the Government's Golden Age of Business vision would attract many investors and tourists to the country.
