Flagbearer of All People's Congress (APC), Hassan Ayariga, has announced plans to ban the operations of forex bureaus in Ghana if elected President.

He asserts this will aid the cedi in gaining value against the US dollar.

His remarks came after the launch of his 2024 election campaign in Bawku, Upper East Region.

The Presidential Candidate of the APC, Dr. Hassan Ayariga, initiated his presidential campaign from his hometown, Bawku, in the Upper East Region.

He engaged with market women and small business owners, soliciting their votes for the 7th December elections.

Dr. Hassan Ayariga also proposes banning the importation of certain foodstuffs and instead, encouraging local farmers to produce what the nation consumes.

He had previously met with the chiefs and people of the Kusaug Traditional area at the Zugrana’s Palace, where he implored them to vote for him en masse for the presidency.

He plans to campaign across all six constituencies in the Kusaug area before moving to the central part of the region.

Additionally, he donated 250 bags of rice and sugar to the Muslim community in Bawku for their Eid celebrations.
